What was the best compliment you've ever received on your Maxima? When I had my 3rd gen with 99 SE wheels, a janitor where I used to work told me he thought it looked like a Benz, lol.

Today's was funnier. I was re-fueling at the Sunoco at Brittania and McLaughlin (Mississauga) when an employee came out and kept complimenting my car, asking what it was and what year it was. Meanwhile, he kept asking me questions and raving about the car while he totally ignored the brand-new black Audi S5 at another pump getting gas too. I was checking out the S5 myself, and finally had to be modest and thank him for the compliments, but said that the S5 up there was nice too and I'd rather have that car, hahaha. The gas station attendent, S5 owner and I had a good laugh.

I've had a few people say "WHO's car is this?". I guess they're calling me a bum, but implicitly complimenting the maxima. I take what I can get.

A few weeks ago I had an "encounter" with a brand new challenger with the hemi engine. It did not go so well for him, but he still pulled up beside me and gave me the thumbs up and beeped the horn.

Friday night as I was getting gas at the Sunoco @ Dufferin/Wilson. This older African gentleman says to me:
"very nice car what year?"
Me: Just a 2001
Him: Blank stare "Wow looked brand new, you really keep it in good condition"
Me: "Thanks alot man I try"
Him: "Very nice very nice"
Me: "Thank you Sir you have a good night"
Him: "You too"

Ive had other people compliment my car but its the same thing. They dont believe its a 2001 they think its newer, or mistake it for a Millenia lol

I've had a few compliments in my time which is nice. Either astounded that it's a 1996 model, or that's it even an Infiniti!

And then people say they want my rims. With or without the car!

When I drive the summer max i get people always looking at the car and giving me a thumbs up or something.

Best one was probably last year when I was coming out of pacific mall.. a bunch of guys driving nissan 240sx's/300zx's were pulling in to the mall and one of the guys in a white 240 stops right in the middle of the intersection gets out and takes a picture of my ride, then continues on his way lol

Like most of the guys, one of the best compliments is that can't believe the year of the car. Comments on how great it looks and sounds incredible to the heads that turns when you pull into a parking area when the car has just had a fresh detail and gleams from bumper to bumper. When they ask whats in it and they look into the engine bay and are blown away on how clean the bay is to where did you get that great looking intake. But the one that really stick out are all the comments and emails I still get a year and a half later on the Interior Blue LED's lighting and in motion, This video has been viewed 12,and a half thousand times and some of the guys continue to email me on the setup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ACbaNOj6xY ... Really does give a great feeling when others admire your ride and take a moment to compliment you on its looks.

I get alot of "wow your paint looks so fresh you must have repainted the whole car" and i have only done bumper n fenders:D. Best compliment i ever had was when i pulled up to meet some friends at a bar and they didint recognize me cuz they thought it was an 09 maxi:D:D that made my week. This was of course after going from pretty stock to dropped 4 inches with cleared corners and projector retro.

I get lots of compliments of my 1992 Honda Accord. People are just amazed at the condition its in and how the paint looks so fresh. The true Accord enthusiasts really appreciate the condition that I've kept the car in.
