You dirty mofo, I'm so jealous I could pimp slap you for DAYS! Congrats man, wicked purchase!

Are you driving it in the winter? If so, I suggest some winters, and I also suggest a driving session in a parking lot once the snow hits. You'll want to get a feel for how it handles in snow before you hit the roads. You should do the following:

Sharp turn at 20km, 40km/h and 60km/h (both directions)
Sudden stop (locking the tires) at the same speeds as above, and at 80 km/h and 100 km/h
Controlled stop (not locking the tires) at the same speeds as above
If you can do a slalom in snow, I highly suggest it. With about 5 curves.

Also, don't put any sand in the back. You may add a little traction, but the weight will also decrease your chances of recovering from a skid.

Of course if you are not driving it in the winter, then ignore all the above.

PS TRADE FOR A SUNFIRE? :)

ive known the guy who built that car from the ground up for yrs. Figured he sold it ages ago, when he told me he still had it i jumped on it. Thing has barely been driven, 10,000 kms or so since he had the motor completely rebuilt with forged goodies.

timing worked out i guess

car has only seen one winter, and allegedly it did well in the snow.

either way, on the bad days i wont be takin any chances.

cant wait to drive it laaard!

Cool! It's not the Turbo model, is it? I'm also jealous because like the 3rd gen Maxima, the Supra has hidden pull-up interior door handles vs. the standard visible pull-out latches. :D

If you must drive in winter, get some dedicated snows and throw a few bags of salt in the trunk, but otherwise, try to park it b/c that Japanese metal cannot withstand salt.

Did you get it at JTD, or the other place called Loo Loo Auto (an extremely ghey name)??

Dude, get it oiled immediately, it looks like its in fantastic condition considering age! :) Finally a real car!! Do you know if he used the HKS head gasket after the re-build? Find out, it will save you the trouble of doing it when the head gasket goes. That's all these cars are notorious for. Other than that, solid car :)

You will come take me for a spin immediately after you get the car!

Turbo?

all she needs is the heating system and a stock fuel rail.. she has a performance one that is causing a shudder upon acceleration. other than that she's tip top.. the motor is blueprinted, forged.. built for 700hp++

im justl ucky ive known this guy for ages.. safe purchase and he's got my back for anything this car will need in the future.

driving lessons will def. be in store.. i cant wait!!!!!

im so down for a spin noz.. the minute i got her im visiting

i got her from loo loo, more of a personal sale than thru the shop. its the non turbo model with the supra turbo system put on it when the motor was built.

Yeah....like HE said...you lucky b@$tard!!!

Get some RWD driving lessons....from someone who learned to drive in the snow in RWD (and rear-engined) vehicles and who has at least 25 years of RWD winter experience....someone like.....
